Today we will talk about the installation of Manti Ceramic. Manti Ceramic is a nanotechnological thermal insulation system with the great advantage of very low thickness (a few millimetres), thanks to the sum of the heat shield and thermal resistance effects of the molecular lattice composed of ceramic microspheres with internal void and a binder which further inhibits the passage of heat.
One of the main advantages of the product is that it is not in panels, but is in paste (in the High Density version), and therefore can be applied with a spatula in several coats. This installation method guarantees a homogeneous and continuous insulation system, without leaving thermal bridges.
Another great advantage is the speed of installation. The installation of Manti Ceramic Alta density takes place in a third, sometimes even a quarter, of the time compared to a traditional high thickness coat.
The application is in fact quite simple. We check that the bottom of the walls is healthy (if not, we proceed with restoration, patching or re-plastering of the bottom plaster). When the surface is healthy (or healed), after adequate cleaning, apply the Manti fixative with a roller or brush. As soon as it has dried, the first coat of the High Density Ceramic Manti is applied with a notched trowel (the thickness of the notching depends on the final thickness to be achieved). At least 24 hours of drying are needed and then the second coat is applied with a smooth trowel, filling the channels of the toothed surface. At this point, fresh on fresh, the fiberglass mesh is applied. Wait another 24 hours at least and then proceed with the third and final coat, again with a smooth spatula.
The finish above the high density must always be thick, and therefore with a colored breathable civil plaster. We recommend Silox Plaster from Savenergy. Alternatively, you can use the medium density version (with roller application in three coats, can be painted in colour). The use of medium density also allows you to save not only on the plaster, but also on the quantity of high density, having a very high-performance insulating capacity.
